What to expect when you come to Ecclesia.First and foremost, you can expect open arms at Ecclesia. We are intentional about throwing the doors wide open and welcoming anyone who will come to worship and celebrate with us.
Worship Our worship celebrations are typically designed around one central topic or theme. At Ecclesia, we have developed our own in-house curriculum (Imprints) that runs through our Sunday School, Worship Celebration, and Small Group meetings. On the first Sunday of the month, we will introduce the "Jesus Story" for that month - a story/teaching/event in the life of Jesus that will be the focus for all our teaching for the month. The following weeks, we will "connect the dots" - looking at other scripture throughout the Old and New Testaments that ties in (connects) to the "Jesus Story." All of our music, drama, and art seeks to reinforce this message each week. Dress Ecclesia is characterized by an informal, "come as you are" mentality. Visiting Ecclesia, you will find folks dressed in everything from traditional church clothes (dresses and slacks) to very casual (shorts and sandals). We do not have any kind of dress code at Ecclesia, so come as you feel comfortable. Music If you come in a little before 11:00, you'll probably hear the band getting cranked up, playing everything from Lincoln Park to old hymns, from Lynyrd Skynyrd to Bach, from Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles to Casting Crowns and Third Day. We are an eclectic group, using our various musical gifts all for the glory of God. Children (Child Care) At Ecclesia, we care about your whole family. We have a nursery available for children ages 5 and under. Communion We gather around the table to partake of the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of every month. At Ecclesia, we observe an open communion and invite all Christ-followers to partake with us. You do not have to be a member of Ecclesia to join us in communion. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to call the church office at (828) 628-9538 or email us. |
