Imprints Year One
It would probably be same to assume that since Jesus' earthly father was a carpenter, that Jesus learned the family trade. I sure hope that he was a better carpenter than he was a farmer. This month, we look at some stories from Jesus connected to the theme of farming. One might say that he gives some "sketchy" farming advice. The reality is that Jesus' descriptions of these farmers are seeking to illustrate a deeper reality than good planting technique. Instead, they are trying to illustrate the reality of the kingdom of God that has been brought in the person of Jesus.
