Imprints Year Three
It’s almost summer - time to start thinking about a trip to the shore. There’s something about the waves and the beach that calls our name. We sing about it in our hymns - “O the deep, deep love of Jesus, vast unmeasured, boundless, free, rolling as a mighty ocean in its fulness over me” and “Thou art giving and forgiving, ever blessing, ever blest, well-spring of the joy of living, ocean depths of happy rest” and “I’ve got love like an ocean in my soul.” This month our Imprints passages will look at times when people encountered God’s grace in a special way at the shore. As you read these stories, think about what it is about the ocean that makes God’s presence so powerful and real for so many people.
