Pastor Aileen has been with Ecclesia since August 2018 when she joined the staff as interim pastor. Two months later, the church voted to remove interim from her title, making her Ecclesia's third pastor since its founding in 2004.
In December 2020, Aileen completed her Doctorate of Ministry at Gardner Webb University, School of Divinity, Boiling Springs, NC. She was ordained to the gospel ministry 10 years earlier by First Baptist Church of Asheville, NC. Aileen and husband Jay married in 1987 and have lived in the Asheville area since 1998. Their family includes daughter Trellace (Abu Dhabi, UAE), son Baker, his wife Addison, and their daughter Vera Jo--born April 2024 (Colfax, NC), daughter Margaret (Rochester, MN), and two beagles: Isabella and Georgia Peach. Joy McCravy, Musician
Joy McCravy joined Ecclesia' as musician on April 12, 2026. Joy studied music education for classical voice and piano at UNC-Greensboro to pursue a lifelong dream of being a musician and music educator. Though classically trained, her musical passions lie in contemporary styles of music and music theory, both of which she has refined through years of songwriting, performing, and teaching.
Joy has performed in a variety of bands as a singer, keyboardist, and ukulele-player since 2018 and began giving music lessons in 2021. With these experiences, she has accumulated a wealth of musical knowledge she enthusiastically shares with students of all skill levels and preferences.
