Not everybody has had the literal, physical experience of being lame, of being unable to walk. But most everyone has had some point in their lives when they felt unable to move, paralyzed by something - fear, trauma, anxiety, doubt, regret. And, when we think about the church as a body, as the Body of Christ, we know there are seasons when the body of believers is limping along, crippled by some tragic circumstance, and there are other seasons when the body is leaping and bounding for joy. During this month, we will look at some of the Bible stories of lame people being healed. Take this opportunity to think about ways you need this kind of healing touch in your own life, the healing grace to leap for joy when you have felt less than ambulatory. Think about the ways our church can experience the healing touch that can enable us to leap and run for joy in our journey together.
